A dash of design & style for your weekend!

I recently became OBSESSED with this image from Pinterest. I’m in love with the fabric and how they used it on the bed, back wall and above. The ever popular starburst is such a simple dose of style. I came across one below at Target  Tar-jay for $24.99. Go get you one.

My obsession led me to search “medallion print” bedding and I came up with three similar discounted choices here, here and here.

One of my favorite go-to light fixtures I recommend you can find here on Overstock. See it in a client’s living room below looking right at home and try not to notice yours truly in the mirror… in my pajamas… oy!

When I’m not designing, I’m styling with the stella and dot jewelry line. The Fall line came out and I’m in LOVE, especially the serpent bangle you can buy here. Truuust me and I hate snakes. Don’t believe me, here’s one of America’s favorite style girls and mother Kelly Ripa raving about it. My sister-in-law rocked that Rebecca Taylor dress recently. Color me jealous.

Some other stella favorites for Fall  here, here and here.

Must have a yellow sweater

Totally digging this dress

And these oh so affordable boots from where else – Target.

Need some funky new music for your next soiree or when you’re hanging around the house sippin some cafe? Loved this French music my sis-in-law had kickin.

On that subject, I couldn’t pass up this blurb I read in the Delta Sky Magazine about the allure of Paris:

“MAKING MONEY ISN’T WHAT MAKES FOR LIVING.” Says Jonathan, a server at a Parisian cafe, when asked about the French ethic. “How much can you enjoy bits of paper?” That just about sums  up the allure of Paris: the belief here that happiness consists of something intangible and fleeting. That success can’t be measured. That your experiences matter above all else. That freedom to feel puts us in touch with something human, essential. And perhaps it explains why, for centuries, in art as in life, Paris has been the place to go to get away, to start over, to find emotion and inspiration to think and create, to re-imagine oneself. At the very least, Paris gives charm to life’s daily grind. At its extreme, THE CITY CHANGES YOU.”

And lastly, go here to see our sweet friend and neighbor Lily give Whitney a run for her money when she sang the National Anthem at the Atlanta Braves game last week! And here to join this angel in her fight. They said it was the longest standing ovation ever and not a dry eye in the place. A blessing to have witnessed live but just as special here again.

Well there you have it my pretties. I know your weekend will be fabulous!

xx
