Product Love Alert: Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps

Who here reads Lucky Magazine? Every month I come away with a few new tricks in my bag, thanks to that mag. Like this love in a bottle. I read organic, pure, fair trade and I’m like hmmm I’ll have to check that out. Head to Target and find it at a hefty $15 price tag. Wow fifteen bucks for soap? Well worth it. A little goes a long way, smells great, feels great and everyone in the family is a fan. Winner, winner!

The bottle is covered head to toe in fine print and one day I decided to take a moment to actually start reading it. If you’re the kind of person that enjoys people’s passion for life and spreading good cheer, you’ll embrace the product and their mantra. All in the name of love kind of stuff and you know how that story goes, love always wins.

Check it out…

“KIPLING’S ‘IF’: If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt youand make allowance for thier doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting; Or being lied about don’t deal in lies; Or being hated, don’t give way to hating! And yet don’t look too good nor talk too wise; If you can dream and not make dreams your master; If you can think and not make thoughts your aim; If you can bear to hear the whole the full-truth that you have spoken, twisted by crooks to make a trap for fools; Or watch the things you have given your life broken, and yet stoop to build them up again with worn out tools…”

(I thought the last statement above was simply beautiful).

“To keep my health, to do my work, to love, to live, to see to it that I gain and grow and give and give. Never to look behind me for an hour, never to wait in weakness, nor to brag in power, always working, searching for more truth, more light, always writing (yeah baby), teaching what I found good and right! Robbed, starved, beaten, fallen wide astray. Back with full-truth I’ve learned. Back to the way.”

So there you have it. Treat yourself to the sweet smell of lavender and sweet sentiments for the soul. Enjoy!
